ESCP Business School and Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (Columbia Engineering) announce a new dual-degree partnership that will provide participating students with degrees from each school. This strategic collaboration expands on both schools’ commitments to international cooperation and cross-disciplinary approaches to education.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive two degrees: The Master of Management granted by ESCP, and the Master of Science granted by Columbia Engineering. The partnership will start in September 2024 for applications.
“By combining outstanding curricula in engineering, applied sciences, and management from Columbia Engineering and ESCP, graduates of this dual degree program will be uniquely positioned to tackle real-world problems and have access to a wide range of interdisciplinary careers around the globe”, says Professor Soulaymane Kachani, Senior Vice Provost of Columbia University.
Through this partnership, up to twenty students from ESCP’s Master in Management program may complete their final year of studies at Columbia Engineering in Master of Science programs such as Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Management Science & Engineering, and Operations Research. Each ESCP student must study on at least two of ESCP’s six European campuses and will add a new dimension to their international education in New York City at one of the most prestigious universities in the United States.
Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School, Professor Leon Laulusa, adds: "We are proud to collaborate with Columbia University, an institution with which we share a common commitment: to educate the responsible leaders of tomorrow through global and multidisciplinary education. This partnership strengthens our commitment to providing our students with world-class academic opportunities while aligning with our strategy of international development and pedagogical innovation."
Commenting about the partnership, Morris A. and Alma Schapiro Professor Shih-Fu Chang, Dean of Columbia Engineering, says: “Columbia Engineering is a globally-minded institution that welcomes ambitious students from all over the world who want to address challenges through an interdisciplinary lens. Our partnership with ESCP Business School allows us to broaden our offering and equip students with the capabilities and skills needed to be leaders in a rapidly changing landscape.”
