That’s product-market fit.” The same applies to nutrition. “With Truvani, it’s not a one-time purchase,” he adds. “It becomes part of how people live.” These are not trend-driven businesses. They are built on habit, and that is what gives them staying power.
The Role of RX3 in Scaling Modern Brands
Through RX3, Keay operates within a network that focuses on high-growth consumer companies. The platform blends capital with brand expertise, strategic insight, and operational experience. As both a board member and one of the firm’s largest investors, he plays an active role in shaping how these companies scale.
Despite the visibility that often surrounds consumer brands, Keay remains grounded in fundamentals. “Attention helps,” he says. “But it doesn’t fix a weak product.” That perspective informs how he evaluates every opportunity.

While Keay invests and advises across multiple brands, his primary operating focus is Kommunity Fitness. He founded the boutique fitness concept in Vancouver with a clear objective: build something structured, consistent, and repeatable.
“We didn’t want randomness,” he says. “We wanted something that runs clean every time.” The model combines guided workouts, thoughtful design, and consistent programming, giving members a reliable and elevated experience.
That consistency is now being tested at scale as Kommunity Fitness expands into the United States through a franchising model. To support that growth, the company brought in experienced leadership, including COO Mike Gray.
“That hire was about experience,” Keay says. “Scaling requires people who have done it before.” The focus is not on speed, but on sustainability. “Growth only works if the system holds,” he adds. “If it breaks under pressure, it’s not ready.”

Across both investing and operations, Keay consistently returns to one principle: systems win. He has seen the consequences of scaling too quickly without structure, and the benefits of building repeatable models that can withstand growth.
“I’ve been in rooms where everything looks good on paper,” he says. “Then one number doesn’t hold up, and the whole thing unravels.” That experience has reinforced his focus on fundamentals.

“In sport, if you skip the basics, you get exposed,” he says. That lesson has carried through his transition into finance, investing, and entrepreneurship. Rather than viewing these as separate paths, he sees them as connected by a shared mindset.
“I don’t see it as different careers,” he explains. “I see it as the same mindset applied in different places.”
