“Boxing taught me focus fast,” Hisle recalls. “I remember sparring with an older fighter when I was younger. I got hit hard and wanted to quit the round. My coach told me to calm down, reset, and keep moving. That lesson stayed with me.”
Academics mattered too. Hisle earned an academic scholarship for high school at Saint Paul Preparatory School. He also received awards through Temple of Aaron for continuing Jewish education.
“That balance helped me,” he says. “Sports pushed me physically. School pushed me mentally.”

Hisle later attended Minnesota State University, Mankato. There, he joined the rugby team and helped win championships.
Rugby became another important chapter in his development.
“Rugby is chaos if your team doesn’t communicate,” he says. “You learn quickly that talent means nothing if people are not working together.”

“We were down late in a match and guys started trying to do too much individually,” he recalls. “Our captain pulled everyone together and reminded us to stick to the system. We came back and won. That moment shaped how I think about leadership today.”

After college, Hisle entered the business world and focused on leadership, management, and sales. Over time, he noticed a common problem across many organizations.
