DesignVerse Unveils "Enterprise Context Layer", Announces Enterprise AI Platform for the US market

European AI startup DesignVerse has launched its Enterprise AI Platform in the United States, built around what it calls an "Enterprise Context Layer" — a system designed to let AI generate software based on a company's own architecture, engineering standards and institutional knowledge, rather than on generic, internet-trained models alone.
The US rollout, timed ahead of next week's Ai4 Las Vegas conference, also marks the general availability of DesignVerse's Visual Studio Code extension, giving developers access to company-specific AI without leaving their existing development environment.
A second wave of enterprise AI
DesignVerse frames the launch as a response to a maturing market: as enterprises move from experimenting with AI coding assistants to deploying them in production, many are questioning whether first-generation tools can deliver on the productivity and ROI promises that accompanied their rollout.
"The first wave of enterprise AI was about building smarter models," said Andrei Manolache, CEO and co-founder of DesignVerse. "The next wave is about giving those models a real understanding of the organisation they're working for."
The company argues that even as large language models have sped up raw code generation, governance requirements, legacy systems and business-specific engineering knowledge remain the real obstacles to scaling AI adoption inside large organisations.
Where the savings actually come from
According to DesignVerse, the platform has already been deployed in highly regulated, mission-critical settings — including an upgrade to EUROCONTROL's air traffic management systems, which oversee European airspace. The company says that work was delivered up to five times faster than traditional software development processes, with reduced testing and QA effort.
In one enterprise deployment, DesignVerse says it cut software development costs by roughly 60% compared with generalist AI models, while improving architectural consistency across applications. The company attributes this to eliminating inefficiencies that typically slow enterprise delivery — QA rework, refactoring, coordination overhead and technical debt — rather than to faster code writing alone.
"The actual cost in enterprise software was never in how fast code gets written — it's in the QA, rework and validation needed to make that code trustworthy," Manolache said. "When AI already understands how an organisation builds software, that layer of inefficiency disappears. That's the shift we've begun."
DesignVerse says the approach can cut delivery timelines from six months to 1.5 months, reduce delivery costs by around 50%, and nearly double delivery capacity without adding engineering headcount — gains it describes as compounding over time rather than one-off.

How it works
Rather than relying on an LLM to infer how a given organisation operates, DesignVerse says it front-loads that understanding: transforming a company's codebases, architecture, engineering standards, documentation, APIs and business rules into structured intelligence before code generation happens.
"We believe every company's engineering environment is distinct, so AI has to learn their way of building software, not impose a generic one," the company said.
The Enterprise AI Platform can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud and adapts to existing enterprise architectures. Its components include:
