The plant’s seeds are surrounded by a fluffy white material called the “cotton boll.” The bolls are harvested and the fibers are separated from the seed. The fibers are then spun into yarn, which is then woven into cotton fabric.

Cotton is famously absorbent and breathable, so it pulls sweat away from your skin to keep you dry during your workout. Cotton is also hypoallergenic, making it a good choice for people with sensitive skin.

However, cotton can hold on to odors, and shrinkage is also a possibility.

The benefits of working out in different types of gym clothes will depend on the type of workout you are doing and your personal preferences. For example, if you are doing a high-intensity workout, you may want to choose a fabric that wicks moisture away from your skin. If you are doing a low-intensity workout, you may be more concerned with comfort and breathability.
