Louis Vuitton Announces The Winner of Its Accessories Design Graduates Initiative

Louis Vuitton recently announced the winner of the second edition of its Accessories Design Graduates Initiative — a competition that celebrates innovation, creativity, and talent among graduating students from the fields of fashion, art, and design. This initiative helps students to transition from academic environments to influential industry roles.

The recently-held second edition of The Louis Vuitton Accessories Design Graduates Initiative brought together over four hundred students from thirty-two leading fashion institutions across Europe and the United States, reaffirming the Maison’s ongoing commitment to fostering exceptional craftsmanship in leather goods and accessories. Through this initiative, Louis Vuitton offers recent graduates the opportunity to join its teams.

The 2025 winner of the Accessories Design Graduates Initiative is Kexin Zhang, selected by a jury composed of internal Louis Vuitton experts. Chinese designer Kexin Zhang has a background in fine jewellery; trained at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, she specialises in jewellery design, goldsmithing, and silversmithing. Her exceptional craftsmanship, forward-thinking vision, and strong design sensibility stood out during the selection process.

The projects submitted by Zhang showcased her ability to translate her precision and creativity from jewellery into leather goods design, bringing a fresh, original approach to the Maison’s legacy. “When I design, I’m driven to explore every possibility. The process feels limitless; I want to experience it all. This opportunity is an exciting avenue for that exploration,” she says.

Kexin Zhang will join the Louis Vuitton leather goods and accessories teams, where she will contribute to the ongoing creative dialogue and design innovation within the House.
