NIU and Razer Partner to Bring Gaming Culture Into Urban Mobility
03 Sept 2026

The FQiX x Razer Special Edition combines NIU’s connected electric mobility platform with Razer’s gaming-inspired design language, targeting a new generation of urban riders.
NIU Technologies and Razer have announced a strategic partnership that brings gaming culture into the urban mobility market. The collaboration launches with the FQiX x Razer Special Edition, a connected electric two-wheeler that combines NIU’s mobility technology with Razer’s recognisable design language and lifestyle positioning. The partnership gives NIU a way to reach younger riders who see mobility as part of personal identity, while Razer expands its brand beyond traditional gaming hardware and accessories.
Two Brands, One Urban Lifestyle
NIU has spent more than a decade building smart electric two-wheelers for urban riders, while Razer has built a global community around gaming, performance, precision and a distinctive visual identity. The FQiX x Razer Special Edition brings those two audiences together by pairing NIU’s engineering and connected mobility platform with Razer’s design language.
Sieghart Michielsen, Director of International at NIU Technologies, said the collaboration represents a new direction for the company.
The FQiX x Razer Special Edition marks a new design direction for NIU, one that speaks directly to the next generation of riders,” he said.
He added that the partnership combines NIU’s established platform and connectivity with Razer’s aesthetic to create a product focused on both performance and style.
Gaming Culture Moves Beyond the Desk
The collaboration reflects a wider shift in the gaming industry, where gaming culture increasingly influences fashion, lifestyle products, furniture, entertainment and personal technology. Razer has already built a brand identity that extends well beyond the PC setup, and the partnership with NIU takes that positioning into everyday urban transport.
Addie Tan, Global Head of the Lifestyle Division at Razer, said the company looks for partnerships that share its focus on innovation, performance and community. She described the NIU collaboration as a way to extend Razer’s lifestyle and design DNA “from the gaming setup into the way they move through their everyday urban lives.”
Connected Technology Shapes the Riding Experience
The FQiX x Razer Special Edition uses NIU’s Link Crown architecture to create a connected riding experience around navigation, data and security. Riders can access riding information and navigation through a 5-inch TFT dashboard, while Bluetooth speaker integration adds entertainment features. The vehicle also includes GPS tracking and built-in anti-theft technology.
NIU says the model offers up to 110 km of range and uses an IPX7 waterproof battery with up to 4,032 Wh of total energy capacity. Razer-inspired design details appear throughout the vehicle, giving the scooter a visual identity that connects directly with the gaming brand’s existing community.
Urban Mobility Becomes Part of Digital Identity
Electric mobility is increasingly becoming part of the wider connected-device ecosystem. Scooters, motorcycles and cars now combine hardware with software, navigation, apps, tracking and digital security features, making them feel closer to consumer technology products than traditional transport alone.
That creates an opening for lifestyle and gaming brands to influence how mobility products are designed and marketed. The NIU and Razer collaboration treats the scooter not simply as a way to move through a city, but as another expression of digital identity. For younger consumers, a gaming setup, smartphone, wearable and electric vehicle can increasingly sit within the same connected lifestyle.
European Pre-Orders Open Through October
The FQiX x Razer Special Edition became available for online pre-order in Europe on September 2, 2026, with the pre-order window running until October 11, 2026. NIU will offer the vehicle in both L1e and L3e variants, covering different licence categories, while priority deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q4 2026.
Customers who pre-order will also receive a Razer Rogue V4 Gaming Backpack at no additional charge. The offer reinforces the partnership’s lifestyle positioning by directly linking the mobility product with Razer’s gaming ecosystem.
Gaming Brands Are Expanding Into New Categories
The partnership follows a broader trend in which gaming brands are extending into adjacent lifestyle markets. As gaming communities become larger and more culturally influential, companies can take the identity they have built around hardware and apply it to products that sit outside traditional gaming categories.
For NIU, the collaboration could help differentiate its electric mobility products in a crowded market. For Razer, it creates another way to turn gaming culture into a broader lifestyle proposition. The result is a product positioned at the intersection of electric transport, connected technology and gaming-inspired design.
