NVIDIA announces the expansion of its DGX Cloud Lepton platform, extending high-performance GPU access across Europe through partnerships with Mistral AI, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other providers. Hugging Face integrates DGX Cloud Lepton into its Training Cluster as a Service, increasing researcher access to scalable compute.

NVIDIA has announced the European expansion of its DGX Cloud Lepton platform, a global compute marketplace connecting developers to NVIDIA GPUs for AI development. This expansion marks a significant step towards providing scalable, region-specific compute resources for organisations developing agentic and physical AI applications. With support from leading cloud providers, startups, and AI research platforms, the platform aims to address the growing demand for high-performance compute capacity in the region.

DGX Cloud Lepton now aggregates GPU resources from partners including Mistral AI, Nebius, Nscale, Firebird, Fluidstack, Hydra Host, Scaleway, Together AI, AWS, and Microsoft Azure. This broader network integrates local providers alongside global hyperscalers, ensuring developers can retain data locally while accessing reliable and scalable GPU power for AI application development.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA founder and CEO, highlights the initiative’s purpose: “DGX Cloud Lepton is connecting Europe’s developers to a global AI infrastructure. With partners across the region, we’re building a network of AI factories that developers, researchers and enterprises can harness to scale local breakthroughs into global innovation.”

Cloud providers and hyperscalers expand marketplace offerings

Mistral AI, Nebius, Nscale, Firebird, Fluidstack, Hydra Host, Scaleway, and Together AI now contribute NVIDIA Blackwell and other GPUs to the DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace. Major hyperscalers AWS and Microsoft Azure have also joined the platform, bringing global-scale compute resources to European developers. These companies complement existing contributors such as CoreWeave, Crusoe, Firmus, Foxconn, GMI Cloud, Lambda, and Yotta Data Services.

DGX Cloud Lepton simplifies the sourcing and management of high-performance GPU resources within regional boundaries, ensuring compliance with data governance frameworks. Cloud providers benefit from integrated management software, which automates GPU health monitoring and root-cause analysis, improving operational reliability.

Hugging face integrates DGX cloud lepton for scalable AI model training

Hugging Face has launched its Training Cluster as a Service, integrating with DGX Cloud Lepton to enhance access to scalable GPU resources. This service allows AI developers and researchers to seamlessly reserve and utilise NVIDIA compute capacity for model training in proximity to their datasets.

Clément Delangue, cofounder and CEO of Hugging Face, said: “Access to large-scale, high-performance compute is essential for building the next generation of AI models across every domain and language. The integration of DGX Cloud Lepton with Training Cluster as a Service will remove barriers for researchers and companies, unlocking the ability to train the most advanced models and push the boundaries of what’s possible in AI.”

Early users include Mirror Physics, Project Numina, and the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine, applying DGX Cloud Lepton compute to research areas such as chemistry, materials science, mathematics, and medical advancements.

NVIDIA and venture capital partners boost AI startup growth

To accelerate the European AI startup ecosystem, NVIDIA is collaborating with Accel, Elaia, Partech, and Sofinnova Partners. This partnership provides eligible startups with up to $100,000 in GPU capacity credits via DGX Cloud Lepton, alongside technical guidance from NVIDIA’s experts.

Startups such as BioCorteX, Bioptimus, and Latent Labs are among the first beneficiaries, using DGX Cloud Lepton resources to build, customise, and deploy AI-powered applications across the global NVIDIA ecosystem.

DGX cloud lepton streamlines AI development and deployment

DGX Cloud Lepton integrates with NVIDIA’s broader software suite, including NVIDIA NIM™, NeMo™ microservices, and NVIDIA Cloud Functions. The marketplace offers a NIM microservice container that supports a wide range of large language models, including publicly and privately hosted models via Hugging Face.

This infrastructure enables seamless AI development and deployment at any scale, supporting businesses and research organisations across industries. Developers benefit from simplified workflows, ensuring fast and efficient scaling of AI applications while maintaining data locality for compliance.

Enterprises and researchers leverage DGX cloud lepton

Several leading organisations are already using DGX Cloud Lepton to advance AI-driven initiatives:

  • Basecamp Research: Using its extensive protein database to develop biological foundation models for pharmaceuticals and industrial applications.
  • EY: Standardising multi-cloud GPU access for developing AI agents across sectors.
  • Outerbounds: Enabling production-grade AI products using Metaflow.
  • Prima Mente: Researching neurodegenerative diseases using large-scale brain models.
  • Reflection: Developing autonomous coding systems for complex enterprise software tasks.

Developers and organisations can apply for early access to NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton. Through Hugging Face’s Training Cluster as a Service, access to NVIDIA’s scalable GPU infrastructure is available immediately for AI researchers focused on model training.
