Our solution: the openbusinesscouncil digital ID
The openbusinesscouncil Corporate Digital IDs, ‘CDIs’ are a digital set of identifiers that can be decentralised and owned by the SME, can solve the issues of trust and identity in the digital ecosystem, enabling SMEs to efficiently access a range of trade-related and transactional services with a single ID.
For example, an SME using CorpPass, a digital ID issued in Singapore, would not be able to utilise that ID in trading with an SME in Estonia using Estonia’s digital ID system. Further, most developing countries do not have corporate digital ID systems to begin with, leaving many developing country SMEs unable to take advantage of the benefits a digital ID can provide.
However, the Interoperable CDI developed by openbusinesscouncil’s parent ztudium, with Mastercard, will draw on the latest identity management solutions offered by openbusinesscouncil, developed on a proven reference architecture. This solution will enable SMEs to access digital hub marketplace services utilising their existing digital identity by integrating identity and access management capabilities directly with their home country identity provider.
