The latest generation of Razer’s ergonomic Basilisk gaming mouse adds 14 customisable controls, upgraded wireless performance, a new HyperScroll wheel and 7-zone Chroma RGB, alongside the new Mouse Dock V2 Pro.
8 October 2026 — Hamburg — Razer has launched the Basilisk V4 Pro, the latest version of its ergonomic gaming mouse, together with the new Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro.
The new mouse keeps the familiar Basilisk shape and thumb rest while adding more controls, a redesigned scroll wheel, a higher-resolution sensor and upgraded wireless performance. Razer is also launching a more streamlined Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed for players who want a lighter and less expensive version of the same core design.
More controls, lighter design

The Basilisk V4 Pro includes 14 customisable controls, including a new M1 edge button and a third side button.
Razer has also repositioned the multi-function trigger to make it easier to reach, while reducing the mouse’s weight by 12 grams compared with its predecessor.
Players can use Razer Hypershift to assign secondary functions to buttons, while macros and game-specific profiles can switch automatically through Razer Synapse.
The mouse also introduces the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, which supports several modes including 24-step tactile scrolling, a finer 48-step Precision Tactile mode, Free-Spin and Smart-Reel switching.
50K sensor and 8,000Hz wireless polling
At the centre of the V4 Pro is the Razer Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3.
According to Razer, the sensor supports up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS and 90G acceleration. The mouse also supports 8,000Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes through HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2.
Additional aiming features include Dynamic Sensitivity, Mouse Rotation, Perfect 180 and Asymmetric Cut-Off, all configurable through Razer Synapse.
The Basilisk V4 Pro also uses Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, which are rated for 100 million clicks and are designed with lighter actuation.
Chroma RGB and multi-device connectivity
Razer has added 7-zone Chroma RGB with full underglow, with support for 16.8 million colours and integration across more than 300 Chroma-enabled games.
The lighting can also sync with compatible Razer devices and products from more than 50 partner brands.
Battery life is rated at up to 200 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 at 1,000Hz and up to 275 hours over Bluetooth 6.2.
The mouse also supports five-way multi-device connectivity, including HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2, Bluetooth connections with up to three paired devices and wired mode.
Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro launches alongside it
The new Mouse Dock V2 Pro combines magnetic wireless charging with an integrated 8,000Hz transceiver.
Users can place the mouse on the dock to charge between sessions, while the dock also supports HyperSpeed Multi-Device connectivity for compatible Razer mice and keyboards.
It includes 8-zone Chroma RGB underglow, a charge-status indicator and an anti-slip base.
Razer is also continuing to offer the HyperFlux V2 as another wireless charging option.
Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed offers a cheaper alternative
For players who do not need the full V4 Pro feature set, Razer is launching the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed.
The mouse weighs 94g and includes the Focus X 33K Optical Sensor Gen-3, 12 customisable controls and up to 140 hours of battery life.
It keeps the same ergonomic Basilisk family shape while targeting players who want the essentials at a lower price point.
