She has also worked for Securitize and ConsenSys in executive positions.

A certified Blockchain architect from Blockchain Council, she has focussed her acumen towards Decentralised Finance (DeFi) and Web 3.0. She has contributed for various publications including ALTCOIN Magazine, TabbForum, and Journal of Securities Operations and Custody.

As an author, she was involved in creating “Tokenisation: Assembling the building blocks of an institutional digital assets marketplace” for the Journal of Securities Operations and Custody, where she shared her thoughts on the transformation in the way business-to-business (B2B) consensus is established in traditional capital markets, as well as to be a pivotal part of the buildout of the nascent decentralised capital markets infrastructure.

Elizabeth volunteers to mentor the young women in the United Arab Emirates under the ‘A Promise of a Generation (POAG)’ initiative by E7: Daughters of the Emirates, an organisation that creates a networking and development experience for young women in the UAE by focusing on Inspiration, Training, Connection and Commitment.

Biography

Elizabeth Mathew graduated in Engineering from University of Mumbai, India, where she was an active member of various societies and activity clubs. She was also the President of IEEE Chapter in college 2002 and Founder of the Inter college technical festival "Synergy" there.

She, then, received an MBA in Finance, Economics, and General Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, where she was the member of the recruitment committee. 

Elizabeth associated with some of the international brands like Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, NY, and JP Morgan where contributed as sales executive in various markets including Latin America, non Asian EM markets in Asia, and US markets. 
She, then, pursued Masters of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School, where she was associated with Columbia Fintech & Blockchain Club, and was the VP of Events.

After consulting independently for a brief period for SmartVizX, an early stage VR/AR Solutions Provider for the GCC Region in the Architecture, Real Estate and Construction space, in the field of Business Development and Market Research, she founded VizzyNow in the Greater New York City Area. Although, the product shelved pre-launch, she learnt some of the critical lessons in her career, like building Augmented Reality based Application for ECommerce, Rapid Prototyping, Hypothesis testing, Market Research, User journey, UX/UI, Working with engineering talent, outsourced and otherwise, Building a technical team, and Pre-seed Pitches.

Elizabeth joined Securitize in 2019 as Product Consultant, where she developed a minimum viable ecosystem for security Tokens in the corporate bond asset class. As the Head of Product, there, she designed and built out of DLT based fixed income products and bond trading platform, SHIELD. 

She is an AIPMM certified Product Owner/Product Manager by The Association of International Product Marketing and Management. 

Joining ConsenSys in April 2021, as the Executive Director. Presently, she serves as the Head of Growth & Partnerships for MetaMask Institutional, building on business strategy for blockchain and Web 3.0. She is a certified Blockchain Architect by Blockchain Council, and Security Industry Essentials by FINRA.

Her first article was titled “Access to Emerging Markets through Fixed Income Products” and published in 2012. This was an in-depth look at ways to gain access to Emerging Market countries via Fixed income FX, Rates and Credit products. She herself carried out the research in regional markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, and presented her market views in the article.

She also contributed “Blockchain in Capital Markets” for ALTCOIN Magazine, where she shared her thoughts on the impact Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies will have on Capital Markets in the short to medium term.

Her findings for Distributed Ledger Technology making redundant the very need for trade matching and verification was published under “Building the Bond Markets of the Future” in TabbForum.

She co-authored “Tokenisation: Assembling the building blocks of an institutional digital assets marketplace” for the Journal of Securities Operations and Custody, where she shared her thoughts on the transformation in the way business-to-business (B2B) consensus is established in traditional capital markets, as well as to be a pivotal part of the buildout of the nascent decentralised capital markets infrastructure.
