Unioncamere

Unioncamere, the Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Trade and Agriculture, is a public agency that handles and represents the interests of the Chambers of Commerce and other agencies of the Italian chamber system. 

For the exercise of the functions and tasks entrusted by law to chamber bodies, Unioncamere stipulates program agreements, understandings and conventions with the central administrations of the State, national or local public bodies, promoting and supporting the connection of the Chamber system with business organisations, consumers and workers.
 

Founded in 1901, it creates and manages services and activities of interest to the Chambers of Commerce and economic categories, coordinating the initiatives of the System through directives and addresses to the bodies that are part of it. 

At the European level, it ensures the representation of the Italian Chambers of Commerce within Eurochambres, the association that brings together the chamber systems of Europe.

Mission

According to their website, the Chamber's mission "is to promote the region's growth and qualitative development in all of its economic and productive sectors, aiming towards the modernisation and globalisation of the entrepreneurial structure of the region."

Vision

The Chamber's vision is to it represent the Italian Chambers of Commerce within Eurochambres.

This Chamber runs an "equalisation fund". The fund pursues the objective of making homogeneous throughout the national territory the performance of the functions attributed by the laws of the State to the system of Chambers of Commerce - also through the regional Unions - favouring the achievement of a satisfactory economic balance, the improvement of their services, and the growth of their efficiency.
