History

Acasta Enterprises Inc. was established in 2013 upon the carve-out of CIBC Mellon from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and The Bank of New York Mellon. The company holds investments in a portfolio of private Canadian middle market companies as well as publicly traded companies. Acasta has offices in Toronto and Montreal. its primary focus is to acquire and manage a portfolio of subsidiaries and investments that can provide long-term value to its shareholders.

Since its formation, Acasta has acquired a number of companies across a range of industries, including technology, healthcare, media, and business services. Its portfolio includes companies such as Cineplex Entertainment, the largest movie theatre chain in Canada, and Toronto-based technology firm BNOTIONS.

In addition to its acquisitions, Acasta has also invested in a number of venture capital opportunities, including the early-stage technology fund iNovia Capital, as well as a number of private companies, such as the mobile payments platform Payveris.
