Africa Oil Corp. was established in 1996 and is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The company is primarily engaged in the acquisition and development of production, exploration and appraisal assets in East and North Africa. In 2011, Africa Oil Corp. acquired an East Africa-focused oil and gas exploration portfolio from Hunt Oil Company.
