History

Aktia Bank was established on May 25, 1891 as the Savings Bank of Raseborg/Raasepori, becoming the Aktia Bank Plc in 1993. In 2004, the Savings Bank merged into Aktia Bank Plc, making it the oldest bank in Finland and the only multichannel banking institution in the country. Ultimately, Aktia Bank Plc was merged with other regional banks, becoming part of a larger group of banks in Finland.
