History

Ark Restaurants was founded in 1983 by Michael Weinstein and Allen Jacobs. At the time, the company was based in New York City and employed a few people. It consisted of one deli in the theater district, two restaurants in the financial district, and two restaurants in the Upper East Side. Over the years, Ark has grown to be the successful restaurant and hospitality company it is today. It currently operates 25 restaurants in the United States, five quick-service-restaurant outlets in airports, and two catering companies across the United States and in the United Kingdom.
