AutogenAI’s mission is to use AI as a tool to boost human creativity, with the long-term goal of transforming the proposal writing process. Their commitment to innovation is evident in their partnerships with major players like AWS, NVIDIA, and GitHub. AutogenAI’s solution helps organisations draft proposals faster, with higher quality, and greater accuracy, making it a leader in the AI-powered proposal writing space.

History

AutogenAI’s story begins with founder and global CEO Sean Williams, who, before launching the company, spent many years as a proposal writer. In 2020, he encountered large language models and recognised their potential to revolutionise how organisations create bids and proposals. From this insight, the idea for AutogenAI was born: to build a language engine that helps companies draft high-quality proposals quickly.

The company was officially launched in February 2022. In its early phase, AutogenAI partnered with the engineering firm Softwire to prototype and build its software. The prototype work involved rapidly developing a web app and cloud infrastructure to support enterprise-level bid and proposal writing workflows. By mid-2022, the product had reached market-ready status, and AutogenAI secured a Series A funding round led by Blossom Capital and Spark Capital. As the company matured, it continued building its team of linguists, writers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, and UX designers to support its mission.

In October 2023, AutogenAI was awarded the prestigious AI Grant, funded by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross, recognising its technological innovation and industry potential. In December 2023, the company announced a Series B funding round with backing from Salesforce Ventures. AutogenAI established offices in New York City, London, and Brisbane to serve clients across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

During its growth phase, the company’s offering expanded from a single language engine to a full suite of tools for proposal teams, including modules for RFP qualification and extraction, proposal management workflows, writing tools, research assistants, and review capabilities. These tools helped clients reduce drafting time, improve compliance, and increase productivity. The company also developed over 50 benchmarks, including the Williams-Huckle Benchmark, which was adopted by Google.

By 2025, AutogenAI had achieved revenue of approximately USD 36.1 million and employed around 194 people. The company positioned itself as a global leader in AI-powered proposal writing, backed by major investors such as Blossom Capital, Spark Capital, and Salesforce Ventures, and partnered with enterprise clients across sectors, including defence, federal government, and large corporations.

AutogenAI continues to invest in research and development, expand its product features, and enter new markets. It remains committed to its mission of using artificial intelligence as a “supercharger for human ingenuity,” ensuring that no major proposal is written without its technology. The company continues to build integrations, such as with AWS, and serve global clients.

Mission

AutogenAI’s mission is to use artificial intelligence to enhance human creativity and efficiency in proposal writing. By developing advanced language engines, the company helps organisations create high-quality proposals quickly and accurately. Their goal is to transform the proposal process, reducing time and effort while improving compliance and productivity. AutogenAI strives to empower teams with the right tools to increase their competitive advantage and win more contracts, all while ensuring the technology remains accessible and valuable to businesses of all sizes.

AutogenAI’s vision is to revolutionise the way organisations approach proposal writing by making it faster, easier, and more effective. They aim to be the global leader in AI-powered proposal creation, helping businesses across industries harness the power of artificial intelligence. The company envisions a future where no major proposal is written without the assistance of AI, ensuring that all businesses can produce compelling, compliant submissions quickly. By continuing to innovate and expand their offerings, AutogenAI seeks to be a driving force in enhancing business efficiency and success.

Products and Services

AutogenAI offers a range of AI-powered products and services specifically designed to streamline and improve the proposal-writing process. Their tools help organisations save time, enhance the quality of their proposals, and increase their chances of winning contracts. These services are particularly useful for businesses involved in complex and competitive bidding processes, such as government agencies, defence contractors, and large corporations.

One of the core products offered by AutogenAI is the Extract Tool, which uses AI to help businesses qualify RFPs (Request for Proposals). This tool simplifies the qualification process by quickly extracting key information from RFPs, allowing proposal teams to assess whether a bid is a good fit for their organisation. It can also identify compliance requirements, ensuring that the team can make informed decisions on whether to proceed with a proposal. By automating this process, Extract helps businesses save time and reduce risk.

Another key product is Proposal Management Tools, which offer comprehensive project management capabilities. These tools allow proposal teams to collaborate more effectively by centralising all aspects of the proposal process in one platform. Teams can track the progress of their proposals, assign tasks, and set deadlines to ensure everything stays on track. With real-time collaboration features, teams can easily share updates, provide feedback, and make revisions, all in one place, improving communication and workflow.

The Writing Tools offered by AutogenAI are designed to turn a blank page into a first draft in minutes. By using AI-powered prompts, the writing tools help users generate tailored content based on their own library of information and trusted sources. These tools are particularly useful for creating consistent, high-quality responses to RFPs, speeding up the drafting process and reducing the need for constant revisions. Users can also apply AI-driven transformations to their drafts to improve the clarity, tone, and relevance of the content.

AutogenAI’s Research Assistant is another standout product that helps proposal teams quickly gather and analyse relevant information from both internal knowledge libraries and the wider internet. This tool saves time by automating research tasks, allowing teams to focus on strategy and writing instead of spending hours gathering data. Research Assistant can also help teams compare documents, analyse competitors, and access key statistics that can strengthen their proposals. By making research easier and faster, this tool helps businesses craft more informed and competitive bids.

The Gamma Review tool is designed to streamline the final review process. This AI-powered tool ensures that proposals meet all necessary requirements and are polished and submission-ready. Gamma Review automatically checks for compliance, formatting errors, and consistency, helping proposal teams deliver high-quality documents quickly and efficiently. The tool also offers real-time feedback and allows for collaborative editing, so all team members can contribute to the final document.

AutogenAI offers Ideator, a tool that helps teams generate winning proposal ideas by providing AI-powered ideation support. By tapping into a team’s knowledge base and external trusted sources, Ideator helps create innovative outlines and content ideas for proposals. This tool encourages creativity and ensures that proposals are not only compliant but also compelling and unique.
