History
Banco Santander-Chile was founded in 1897 as Banco Santiago by a group of local business men. In 1985, the bank was acquired by Banco Santander, S.A. of Spain, which is now the banking arm of the Santander Group. The bank has since then grown to be one of Chile’s largest banks, with a network of more than 415 full-service branches throughout Chile.
