Bharat Bijlee Limited was originally established as a joint venture between Birla Brothers and British Electric Transmissions Ltd. in 1943. After many mergers and acquisitions, the company was incorporated in 1958 and became part of the AV Birla Group. In the years that followed, the company grew rapidly and established itself as a leading manufacturer of electrical and electronics products.
