The company was formerly known as Black Knight Financial Services, Inc. and changed its name to Black Knight, Inc. in October 2017. History

Black Knight Financial Services is a privately held financial services company that began operations in 2014. The company acquired several other companies during its first two years in operations as it solidified its position as a leading source for mortgage, real estate and other financial services. Notable acquisitions include D+H Mortgagebot, Countrywide, MountainView Financial Solutions and ValuEST.
