History
Bombay Dyeing was established in 1879 by Nowrosjee Wadia as a cotton mill in Bombay. In 1881, it was the first cotton mill in the city then known as Bombay. By the early 1950s, it was a leading Indian textile company with operations across India and in Southeast Asia.
