History

Founded in 1899 by the brothers Umberto and Girolamo Buzzi, it is the sixth largest international cement producer in the world. In 2008, Buzzi Unicem S.p.A. and its subsidiaries operated in the area of eleven countries: Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA, Mexico, Ukraine, Poland, with a total of 81 plants (72 cement plants, 8 grinding centers and one packing unit), 76 cement terminals and 14 trading offices.
