History

Bystronic was founded in 1968 as a partnership of four family-owned companies. At the time, the company was focused on conventional sheet metal processing. However, the founders had their sights set on the future and knew that laser technology was the way of the future. Bystronic was the first manufacturer to develop and offer complete laser cutting solutions and that focus has continued to be the core of the company’s business.
