Compañía de Acero del Pacífico (CAP) was founded in 1979, in Monterrey, Mexico. It was the first company to produce steel using the electric arc furnace production process, which enabled it to produce quality steel at more competitive prices. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the leading producers and exporters of steel in Mexico. It produces and sells various steel products, such as reinforcing bars, structural steel, and pipes.
