In addition, it engages in the construction for the development and maintenance of electric utilities-related facilities; and manufacture of materials and machinery for electric utilities-related facilities. Further, the company is involved in the gas supply activities. Chubu Electric Power Company, Incorporated was founded in 1889 and is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan.

History

Ch?bu Electric Power Co., Inc., was established in March 1952 as a government-owned electric power utility. After several changes in its ownership structure, it was privatized and listed on the Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchanges in April 1987. Since then, the company has become one of the leading electric power companies in Japan.
