History

CryoPort was founded in California in 2000 by Noel J. Guillama and Mr. Robert S. Barton for the purpose of shipping biologic materials and facilitating the sample bank industry. In 2007 CryoPort began offering customized temperature-controlled logistics services to the rapidly growing regenerative medicine and biologic drug markets. The cryogenic shipping industry had been relatively untouched since the early 80's until CryoPort became the first to bring an alternative to the highly manual process.
