His doctoral thesis was titled “Contributions to System Composition using a System Design Process driven by Service Definitions for Service Robotics,” reflecting his deep expertise in system design for robotics applications. He also completed a Master of Science in Information Systems at Technische Hochschule Ulm between 2008 and 2010.

Biography

Dennis Stampfer was born in Germany. From an early age, he showed an interest in technology and systems, which later guided his education and career. He pursued higher education in information systems and computer science, laying the foundation for his work in robotics and automation.

 

Between 2008 and 2010, Dennis completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Systems at Technische Hochschule Ulm. During this period, he gained knowledge in designing and managing information systems, which became essential for his later research and projects in robotics.

 

In 2011, Dennis began working as a Research Associate at the Forschungsgruppe Servicerobotik at Hochschule Ulm. He spent seven years there, from 2011 to 2018, focusing on service robotics. His work involved designing and testing robotic systems and applying technology solutions in real-world environments. He contributed to multiple research projects and publications related to service robotics and system composition, helping improve automation processes for different industries.

 

In 2015, Dennis started his PhD at the Technical University of Munich. He completed his doctoral studies in 2018, earning a PhD in Computer Science (Dr. rer. nat.). His thesis, titled “Contributions to System Composition using a System Design Process driven by Service Definitions for Service Robotics,” focused on improving how robotic systems are designed, composed, and applied in practical scenarios. This work helped provide structured approaches to create robotics applications efficiently.

 

After his PhD, Dennis worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Forschungszentrum Servicerobotik Ulm from 2018 to December 2019. During this time, he continued research in service robotics, contributing to technology transfer projects and publications that aimed to bring robotics research into practical industrial applications.

 

In February 2020, Dennis co-founded Toolify Robotics GmbH and became its CEO. The company developed xito.one, a platform that helps companies create and deploy robotics applications to address Europe’s labour shortage and rising cost pressures. Under his leadership, Toolify Robotics focuses on making automation practical, cost-effective, and accessible even for smaller or less automated businesses. Dennis continues to lead the company, combining his research expertise, technology knowledge, and entrepreneurial skills to advance robotics and automation solutions in industry.
