History

Dis-Chem Pharmacies was founded by Ivan and Lynette Saltzman in 1978. Since opening their first store in Springs, South Africa, the business has grown to become the leading pharmaceutical retail chain in the region. Dis-Chem has experienced significant growth and opened its 100th branch in 2018.
