The company was formerly known as Delphi Systems, Inc. and changed its name to Ebix, Inc. in December 2003. Ebix, Inc. was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in Johns Creek, Georgia.
History
Ebix Inc. was founded by Robin Raina in 1976 in India and was initially a distributor of software to the insurance industry. The company began to expand in the early 2000s. In 2003, Ebix acquired Prime Technologies Inc., a supplier of an on-demand benefits administration solution software. In 2007, Ebix Inc. made another significant acquisition, Broker's Solutions Inc., which served to expand Ebix's presence in the benefits and property and casualty insurance industries. In 2017, Ebix Inc.'s revenues crossed US$250 million and the company went public.
