GBS specializes in designing, developing, and operating efficient and innovative business services for Siemens AG, Siemens Healthineers AG, Siemens Energy AG, and other affiliated companies.

Eberle succeeds Hannes Apitzsch, who, at the age of 64, has been at the helm of GBS since 2019 and is embarking on retirement after a remarkable tenure exceeding 40 years with the company. Apitzsch will continue to contribute to Siemens in an advisory role until December 31, 2022.
