Biography

Elina Teboul was born and raised in the United States. She pursued her undergraduate studies at New York University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. She then attended Columbia Law School, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and receiving recognition as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Later, she completed a Master’s degree in Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she focused on positive psychology, organisational psychology, and mind-body practices. She also obtained executive coaching certification from Columbia University.

 

She began her career as an investment management attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where she worked on complex financial and corporate matters. She advised private equity funds, hedge funds, and institutional clients on fund formation, regulation, and compliance. After five years at the firm, she joined Credit Suisse as a legal counsel in its Global Markets division, providing legal support for prime brokerage services and institutional financing.

 

After working in the legal and financial sector, she shifted her focus to leadership development, coaching, and philanthropy. She worked as a philanthropic and legal adviser at the Allan & Gill Gray Foundation, where she helped design and implement strategic philanthropic initiatives. During her time at the foundation, she was involved in the launch of global social impact programs and advised on funding strategies.

 

She later established Elina Teboul Advisory, a leadership consultancy where she advises executives, entrepreneurs, and investors. She specialises in integrating psychology, law, and social impact into leadership development. She has coached leaders across business, non-profit, and government sectors, helping them enhance their decision-making, communication, and organisational effectiveness. She was also an executive coach at The Preston Associates and worked as a guide at Chief, a private network supporting women executives.

 

She taught as an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School, where she designed and taught a course called "Positive Lawyering for Peak Performance." The course explored the intersection of psychology, leadership, and law, equipping law students with strategies for well-being and professional success. She has been a frequent guest lecturer at academic institutions, including Columbia Law School and the University of Pennsylvania.
