History

Elme Communities was founded in 1982 in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a focus on providing quality affordable housing to individuals and families that struggled to find it in the marketplace. Over the last four decades, Elme has grown to be one of the most respected and successful property management and real estate development companies in the country, with a portfolio encompassing over 50,000 units in 40+ states.
