The company also provides nonlife insurance; and temporary staffing, recruitment, training, and office support services. ENEOS Holdings, Inc. was founded in 1888 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
The company was founded in 1920 as Japan Petroleum Company, or Nichiei, supplying oil and other petroleum products for industrial and commercial use. In 1924, the company changed its name to Nippon Oil Company or Niseco, and grew to become one of the largest petroleum companies in Japan. In 2009, Niseco merged with Showa Shell and the new group was named ENEOS Holdings.
