Chugoku Electric Power Company, Inc. is a power utility engaged in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in the Chugoku region of Japan. Its service area covers 33,205 km2, including eight prefectures: Hiroshima, Shimane, Yamaguchi, Okayama, Tottori, Kagawa, Tokushima, and Ehime. It provides power services to 18.8 million customers in the region and serves Hiroshima city.
History

Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. was established in 1951 after the government of Japan nationalized electricity companies in the region. In 2007, it adopted the name Chugoku Electric Power Group. In 2016, the company was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Since then, it has achieved remarkable growth and success.
