Fila Korea was founded in 1911 as a women’s clothing manufacturer in Biella, Italy. The company began sponsoring various sporting events in the 1920s and 1930s, switching its focus from fashion to sporting goods during the 1970s. In 1989, Fila Korea, a division of Fila Italy, was established. Fila Korea started out small but eventually expanded to become one of the leading sports apparel and footwear companies in Korea. It now has more than 450 stores in Korea and sells products across the world.
