The company was formerly known as Finning Ltd. and changed its name to Finning International Inc. in April 1997. Finning International Inc. was incorporated in 1933 and is headquartered in Surrey, Canada.
History

Finning International Inc. is a Canadian-based world’s largest distributor of Caterpillar equipment and has the most innovative power systems and solutions to its customers. It was founded in 1933 by Ernest Finning who was succeeded by his brother, Bob Finning in 1945. The company opened its first dealership in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1937. During the past 80 years, Finning has become a world leading supplier of Caterpillar machines and parts as well as service and rental solutions.
