Flexsteel began as an upholstered furniture manufacturer in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1893. In 1901, production shifted to Dubuque, Iowa. Over the years, the company has grown and expanded its product line, unique approaches to upholstery and styling, and competitive market positions, including importing from overseas and owning seven manufacturing plants across the United States.
