The company was founded in 1982 as the Flying Tiger Line, a cargo airline that grew from operations in excess of 67 aircraft to being the world's largest all-cargo airline at one point in its history. The name was changed to the Tiger Air Group in 1997 when it moved its focus to ground-based cargo transportation and logistics services.
