The company was formerly known as China Cord Blood Corporation and changed its name to Global Cord Blood Corporation in March 2018. Global Cord Blood Corporation is based in Central, Hong Kong. History

Global Cord Blood Corporation was established in 1992 as the first cord blood bank in China and is the first publicly listed cord blood banking operator in the world. With a robust quality assurance program and a planned national network of operating and service centers, the Company achieved unprecedented expansion in China's rapidly growing cord blood banking industry.
