History

Goldwin began in 1951 as a small operation, the Jissho Kikin tailoring shop in Osaka brought together the vision of founders Keizo Iwata and Fumie Onishi to produce skiing and winter sports apparel. Goldwin developed one of the earliest functional ski designs, including the first moisture-proof skiwear. As the business grew, Goldwin developed a new technology called Yuki-no-Megumi, waterproof breathable fabric that revolutionized snow apparel and performance. Over the decades, Goldwin has become one of the world’s leading sports apparel companies.
