History
GBCC was established in 1813. From 1916 to 1960, it was headquartered at the New Street. Thereafter, it was moved to its current address on Harborne Road, Edgbaston.

According to their website, GBCC "aims to connect, support and grow local businesses across the region."
For this, it provides a variety of support services, events, networking opportunities and media exposure for businesses of all sizes and sectors across six major geographical areas including West Midlands.
Vision
GBCC's vision is to be the voice of local businesses. Since 1813, it has strived to help firms across the region to connect, support and grow.
Impact
In 2018, the GBCC was the National Winner of the Chamber Business Awards. The chamber now has more than 3,000 businesses as members and is today made up of ten divisional chambers across the West Midlands.
