History

Founded in 1952, Hanwha Solutions was initially known as Dongjin Chemical. In the 1970s it acquired various subsidiaries, including Hanwha Petrochemical. In the 1990s, it entered the semiconductor industry and changed its name to Hanwha Chemical. In 2006, it changed to its current name Hanwha Solutions.
