History
Hawaiian Telcom began in 1883, as The Mutual Telephone Company. The Mutual Telephone Company was granted the exclusive right to provide telephone services in Hawaii by the Hawaiian government. In 2006, Hawaiian Telcom launched the first unified communication solution in Hawaii to serve business customers. Hawaiian Telcom also installed the first and only 100 gigabits per second network in Hawaii in 2017.
