Previously known as Headway after its flagship product, the world's most downloaded book summary app, the company has officially evolved into Headway Inc, a full-scale consumer tech platform.

Headway Inc was founded in January 2019 when a small team led by Anton Pavlovsky launched the Headway book summary app. By October 2020, the Headway app had become the most downloaded book summary app globally. Not long after, the company expanded into the broader lifelong learning space.

In 2021, the company added Impulse to its portfolio, a brain-training app designed to boost memory, attention, and logical thinking through short games and self-discovery tests. In July 2021, Impulse claimed the title of the world's most downloaded brain?training app.

In February 2022, Headway Inc released Nibble, an all around knowledge app.

By mid 2022, the Headway app had secured a place among the top ten revenue generating educational apps in the US App Store.

In February 2023, Headway Inc was first named to the GSV 150 list of the world's leading digital learning companies by Global Silicon Valley and then appeared on the list for four consecutive years (2023-2026). Later that year, its flagship, the Headway app, received an App Store Editors' Choice badge in the United States.

In October 2023, Headway Inc's Founder, Anton Pavlovsky, was named Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 at the Allstar Awards by GP Bullhound, which is often referred to as the Oscars of the tech world.

In December 2023, the company launched the AddMile coaching platform, and in July 2024, Skillsta, a social skills trainer.

In February 2025, Headway Inc was the first Ukraine-born company to become a member of Endeavor, the world's leading network for high-impact entrepreneurs.

In April 2025, Headway officially rebranded as Headway Inc. The new identity marked the company's transformation into a full-scale consumer tech platform. That same month, TIME magazine ranked Headway Inc fourth on its list of the World's Top EdTech companies, leaving behind global EdTech giants like Kahoot!, Quizlet, Coursera, Chegg, Udemy, Duolingo, BetterUp, and GoStudent.

In July 2025, the company closed its Series A financing led by Bullhound Capital via its Fund VI, marking its first external financing round. This strategic investment enables Headway Inc to accelerate product development, expand internationally, and strengthen its knowledge-driven ecosystem. It also represents the largest investment through Bullhound Capital's Fund VI to date. Per Roman, Founder and Managing Partner of Bullhound Capital, has joined Headway Inc's board, strengthening the company's governance and strategic direction.

In January 2026, Endeavor Catalyst invested in Headway Inc above its typical check size, through an extension of its Series A round led by Bullhound Capital.

The company has users in over 170 countries and operates via offices in Madrid, Kyiv, Warsaw, Lviv, and Nicosia, along with hybrid team members across the globe.
