HiteJinro was founded in 1924 as Korea’s first alcohol producer, with the establishment of the Daedong Distillery. By 1951, the company had become the leading producer of alcoholic beverages. In 1994, HiteJinro listed on the Korea Stock Exchange, which allowed the company to expand its business further. Through overseas expansion in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines and China, HiteJinro established itself as a leading Asian alcoholic beverages producer.
