His journey began with a solid foundation in engineering, having obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in 1995. He further expanded his knowledge by attending the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre for Business Administration and Management in 2003-2004.
Sheikh’s entrepreneurial career started with his first venture, Mettalis Group, a UK-based commodities trading company, which he led as Chairman from 2013 to 2017. During this period, Sheikh established himself as an innovator, bringing new ideas to traditional industries. In 2014, he co-founded itzMe, a machine learning and AI company, serving as its CEO until December 2017, further strengthening his position in the technology sector.
In 2017, Humayun Sheikh co-founded Fetch.ai alongside Toby Simpson and Thomas Hain. The platform was designed to support the development of AI-driven decentralised applications and services.
