The company was formerly known as IIFL Holdings Limited and changed its name to IIFL Finance Limited in May 2019. IIFL Finance Limited was incorporated in 1995 and is based in Mumbai, India.
History

IIFL was founded by Nirmal Jain in 1995 with a seed capital of Rs 3 million. While initially broking in stocks, it also offered depository services, commodities and currency trading, investment banking and as many as 18 other allied financial services and products.
