The company was formerly known as Westralian Sands Limited and changed its name to Iluka Resources Limited in May 1999. Iluka Resources Limited was incorporated in 1954 and is headquartered in Perth, Australia.
History

Iluka Resources was established in 1954 in Perth, Western Australia. Over the past sixty years the company has grown to become one of the world's largest mineral sands producers, with a portfolio of operating mines, projects and processing facilities in Australia, South Africa, the United States, and Sierra Leone.
