The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (IMTG), established in 1980, is India's foremost AACSB-accredited management school, focusing on developing leadership through innovation, execution, and social responsibility. IMTG, an autonomous, non-profit institute, provides top-rated postgraduate programmes. The institute currently offers four AICTE-approved programmes: PGDM Full Time, PGDM Executive, PGDM Part Time, and PGDM Dual Country Programme (DCP).

IMT Ghaziabad has been set up under the aegis of Lajpat Rai Educational Society (LES), a society duly registered under the Societies Act 1860, by the Government of India. IMTG is consistently recognised as one of India's top management institutes. It has a remarkable alumni network, with over 300 C-suite executives and thousands of professionals in leadership roles around the world, succeeding in areas such as Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Consulting, Information Technology, Marketing, and Finance.

The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) traces its roots back to 1980 when it was established in Ghaziabad with a vision to cultivate adaptable, flexible, and culturally sensitive business leaders. Founded by the Dr. K. Nath Public Trust, and spearheaded by Shri Mahendra Nath, the institute aimed to contribute to management education. The trust, committed to promoting trade schools and institutes of higher education, collaborated with the Lajpat Rai Educational Society to provide financial support for the inception of IMT. In 1983, IMT received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Over the years, IMT garnered recognition as one of India's premier institutions for management studies. In 2004, IMT expanded its footprint by establishing an MBA institute in Nagpur, further solidifying its presence in the field of management education. This expansion not only broadened IMT's reach but also enhanced its reputation as a centre for corporate excellence.

In 2006, IMT took a big step towards global education by inaugurating a campus in Dubai. This move reflected IMT's commitment to providing international exposure and promoting a global mindset among its students. Building on its success, IMT continued its expansion efforts by setting up another campus in Hyderabad in 2011. Two-Year PGDM Programmes: IMT Ghaziabad’s flagship programmes include several two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) options. These are designed for young graduates seeking to build a strong foundation in management. The first year covers core management disciplines, while the second year allows for specialisations in areas such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Information Technology. Each programme includes a mandatory summer internship, providing practical industry exposure.

PGDM Dual Country Programme (DCP): The PGDM DCP is a unique two-year programme offered in collaboration with IMT Dubai. Students spend the first year at the IMT Dubai campus, gaining exposure to international business environments and cultures. The second year is completed at the IMT Ghaziabad campus, where students can choose from various specialisations. This programme is designed to develop globally-minded managers with a comprehensive understanding of diverse business settings.

PGDM Banking and Financial Services (BFS): The PGDM BFS programme is tailored for students aiming to specialise in the banking and financial services sector. Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a doctoral-level programme aimed at individuals aspiring to pursue research and academic careers. FPM scholars work closely with faculty on cutting-edge research projects, contributing to the academic community and gaining expertise in their fields.

Lifelong Learning Programme for Alumni (LLPA): The Lifelong Learning Programme for Alumni (LLPA) is designed to offer continuous learning opportunities to IMT Ghaziabad alumni. In the QS World Business Master’s Ranking 2024, IMT Ghaziabad attained a rank of 151+ in the Masters in Management category. Furthermore, it was ranked 10th among private colleges by IIRF 2024, 14th overall by Business Today Ranking 2023, 12th overall by Business World Ranking 2023, and 6th among private B-Schools in India by India Today ranking. According to Business Today Ranking 2023, IMT Ghaziabad secured the 13th position among the top B-Schools, 14th for the Executive MBA, and 15th for the 1-Year MBA program.

The 2021-23 batch witnessed remarkable success, with an impressive Average Package of ?17.35 lakhs per annum and a Median of ?16.0 lakhs per annum, graduates experienced lucrative career beginnings.  Notably, the Top 100 Students achieved an average package of ?24.99 lakhs per annum, while the Top 200 Students secured an average package of ?21.5 lakhs per annum. 

The highest International Salary increases to ?65.6 lakhs per annum, and the highest Domestic Salary stands at ?34 lakhs per annum. 

The participation of over 150 companies, including 77 new recruiters, underscores the institute's growing reputation. Moreover, witnessing a 13.4% increase in average annual compensation compared to the previous year and attracting top recruiters including global giants such as BAIN, Deloitte, Google, and Goldman Sachs from the 2022 Fortune Global 500 list further solidifies IMT Ghaziabad's position as a premier business school committed to fostering student success.
