History

INWIT was founded on January 14, 2015, and has been operational since April 1, 2015 following the spin-off of the "Tower" branch of Telecom Italia. From 22 June 2015 INWIT is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index. During the initial public offering, the company raised €875.3 million, with a capitalization of around €2.2 billion. Currently the company has achieved a market capitalization of over €5.5 billion.On March 31, 2020, thanks to an agreement with Vodafone, the merger of Vodafone Towers Italia into INWIT was completed.
